At FJ Philanthropy, we believe that the right team is crucial to delivering maximum impact for our clients. We are passionate about diversity of thought. So in addition to our principal consultants, we work with our cadre of expert partners, hand-picking only the best and brightest people from across the consultancy spectrum to support and deliver on the relevant aspects of each project.

Bryan founded FJ Philanthropy in 2013, and in this time has provided consultancy support to a diverse range of charitable organisations and individuals in areas spanning research, education, health, religion welfare and the arts.  

Prior to launching FJ Philanthropy, Bryan held senior leadership, fundraising and commercial business development roles in the higher education and private sector, working in the UK and internationally across the USA, Europe and Asia.

Bryan holds a Master in Science Degree in Biomolecular and Medicinal Chemistry from Strathclyde University, is a full Member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and a graduate of the Common Purpose senior leaders programme.

Bryan Fleming

Dr Craig Fleming PhD

Craig joined FJ Philanthropy in July 2019 to help drive the growth of the business and has delivered projects in the arts, education, health and child poverty sectors. 

After studying Forensic & Analytical Chemistry at Strathclyde University, Craig subsequently obtained a PhD from Durham University. He, spent a number of years working in executive search and recruitment, before choosing to pursue a career in fundraising. Craig has held senior leadership roles in leading UK universities, health charities and independent schools where his expertise extended to marketing, student recruitment, communications, fundraising and bespoke events. 

Craig is also a trustee of veterans’ charity Erskine, Member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and Institute of Directors, and a graduate of the Common Purpose Navigator programme.

In his spare time, Craig can be found cycling the roads of Perthshire, enjoying a walk with his wife, two boys and their mischievous standard poodle, or, like Bryan, experimenting in the kitchen.

Susana López

A skilled major gifts fundraiser and relationship manager with over 27 years’ experience in high value income generation, Susana has worked across a range of UK not for profit organisations, including senior leadership roles at Cancer Research UK, The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and Anthony Nolan.   

Susana has a strong track record of delivering growth across high value fundraising, building major giving income from the ground up, and adding value to existing programmes.  With a background in trust and foundation fundraising, she brings a detailed knowledge of the major giving sector in the UK and globally, alongside excellent writing and research skills.

Anne Hayward

Anne’s depth and breadth of fundraising knowledge has been built up over 34 years. She has held senior positions at some of the UKs leading fundraising charities, as well as smaller organisations, securing many multi-million-pound donations. In 2011, Anne began the next phase of her career as a fundraising consultant. Since then, she has worked with a wide range of organisations giving her a great understanding of the challenges facing organisations of all types and sizes. 

Her main area of expertise is developing major fundraising campaigns and new philanthropy programmes. Anne is a strategic thinker and brings huge energy and drive into every project, motivating all those she works with to think creatively and providing whatever support is required to get great results. 

In her spare time, Anne loves everything outdoors and can regularly be seen taking part in military style fitness boot camp sessions in her local park. She enjoys walking and has taken on many trekking challenges across Europe, Africa and Asia. Her garden is where she relaxes and likes nothing more than picking and eating her home grown fruit and veg.
